OK – So these things are so cool!
I don’t know why it took me so long to learn about these Bible Verse Coloring Cards! They are great tools to help everyone learn their Bible verses!
I can see these as great stocking stuffers, birthday or even get-well gifts. Include a box of markers or colored pencils and you’re set. I could also see these used in church either in Sunday School or part of a busy-bag during worship services.
Or, after you colored your card, use them to decorate around your home either in frames or not (bookshelves, mirrors, refrigerator, etc.). You can even give these away to brighten someone’s day like a lunch box note. Or, maybe even glue them onto colored paper and make your own holiday, birthday or greeting cards. The possibilities are endless!
I’ve noticed there are actually 2 types: Kids & Adult. Just click on the links below to JUMP to your favorite.

On a whim we ordered these Bible Verse Coloring Cards and they are so fun. These make a fun way of learning your weekly Bible verses or even use them as decorations around your home.
I found 2 boxes for kids. The boxes state the age range is for children ages 5-8 but I think older kids (& teens) will these too. They are published by Christian Art Kids, and I found them at Amazon & Christian Books websites.
52 Coloring Cards for Kids: Bible Memory Verses Every Kid Should Know
- 52 Coloring Cards for Kids: Bible Memory Verses Every Kids Should Know
- There is a Bible verse ready for coloring on one side with it typed out on the back side. I know that I’m a teen and I enjoy these as well.
- I did some research on the verses used on the cards – They are from a mix of translations (NIV, ESV, NLT, CEV, & NKJV) with several only having only partial verses. A few of the verses were even paraphrased for simplicity.
- All cards have vertical designs on them.
- I’ve created FREE Print & Cursive Handwriting Pages for these cards so you can use them along side the cards for weekly Bible verse memorization. Just click on the picture below for a FREE printable handwriting pages in Print or Cursive.
52 Coloring Cards for Kids: ABC Bible Fun
- 52 Coloring Cards for Kids: ABC Bible Fun
- These are aimed for even younger children who are learning their letters and how to read. For each letter of the alphabet there is the card with a picture of the letter and a word that starts with that letter. On the back is printed out Bible verse for the parent to read. (26 cards)
- There is also a second card for each letter of the alphabet that has blank lines for your child to “Write down as many words as you can from the Bible, starting with” A/B/C/etc. On the back side of these, they are blank with the title “Draw your own picture here.” (26 cards)
- All cards have vertical designs on them.
Both of these boxes are sized 4″ x 6″ with a curved corner cards printed on cardstock. When I placed them in some stand-up frames, the edges disappear using our black 4×6 frame, but in the clear acrylic frame you can see the entire card. (See pictures above)
Typical coloring utensils all work fine on these cards (colored pencils, Crayola markers, Sharpie markers, crayons, etc.) except gel pens since these smear & take forever to dry.
Adult (& Teenager) Version
There are even coloring cards for Adults too! These are great for teenagers too.
I found 5 boxes of these coloring cards published by Christian Art Gifts, at Amazon and Christian Books websites.

- Creative Expressions: Cards to Color and Share (44 cards)
- There is a mix of horizontal & vertical cards.
- 16 cards did not have actual Bible verses on them, but cute messages such as: “God is with you wherever you go” & “You fill my life will joyful moment!“
- Most of the Bible verses are from the New Testament.
The Adult version has different sized cards: 3.25″ x 4.25″ They are made from much thicker cardstock and are not flexible like the Kid’s version. The back side is blank and shiny with some type of coating on it. You can write on it, but I’m sure even a regular ballpoint pen would smear and need sufficient time to dry.
You will need patience and great eyes (or reading/magnifying glasses) for these. The designs on these cards are very intricate. My mom used her desk lamp so she could see the one she worked on.
I found that I liked using the following on these cards:
- Straedtler Triplus Fineliner – 0.3mm
- Pigma Micron – 0.5mm & smaller
- Sharpie Ulta Fine Point
- extra-sharp colored pencils
Even using these pens, I noticed that I needed to allow globs of marker ink to dry so it would not smear while I was working on it.
These are really neat. I’ll definitely be reordering these for gifts and for myself!
